While grades will count a lot toward landing the residency that you want, an award or scholarship can put you over the top. Both are great talking points during residency interviews, but they can also differentiate you from other candidates and show that you’re well-rounded. If you’re looking for opportunities, take a look at the ACOFP award and scholarship offerings that may help you beyond medical school.
