With the average cost of osteopathic medical school annual tuition topping $40,000, scholarships can play a major role in defraying costs for many students.

That’s why the Auxiliary to the ACOFP – made up of spouses and significant others of osteopathic family physicians – raises money through dues, raffles and direct donation for these scholarships, totaling $30,000 annually.

The deadline to apply is December 31.

  • The ACOFP Marie Wiseman Memorial Student Scholarship: The ACOFP Auxiliary Executive Board created the scholarship to carry on Mrs. Wiseman’s desire to help students and residents with financial needs. This annual scholarship is awarded to an osteopathic medical student with $5,000 to help pay for medical school and/or personal expenses and affirms the recipient’s activities and outstanding leadership within the association.
  • The Emerging Osteopathic Leader Scholarships: The ACOFP Auxiliary Executive Board gives these scholarships to emerging osteopathic student leaders in family medicine and the ACOFP. The scholarship is awarded to two osteopathic medical students with $2,500 for medical school and/or personal expenses.
  • The Osteopathic Family Medicine Student Scholarships: The ACOFP Auxiliary Executive Board awards these scholarships to medical students who have an interest in family medicine and the ACOFP. Twenty osteopathic medical students will be given $1,000 for medical school and/or personal expenses.
