When you become an ACOFP member, you get access to a wide range of products and services that will make your life as an osteopathic family physician much easier and rewarding. Through advocacy, education and leadership, the ACOFP helps osteopathic family physicians obtain and track CME credits and provides materials that assist physicians with their recertification and certification exams.

In fact, the ACOFP membership annual fee pays for itself when taking into account all of the discounted rates to attend these events and participate in ACOFP webinars.

Here are some specific benefits:

The ACOFP led a coalition of specialty and state osteopathic organizations in AOA House of Delegates deliberations, advocating for equality of certification and adherence to osteopathic distinctiveness.

Also, the ACOFP is a full partner in this 5-year intersociety initiative to reposition family medicine at the forefront of our healthcare delivery system through practice transformation, payment reform, workforce development, technology transfer, research and patient engagement.

More than 2,000 ACOFP members attended ACOFP CME events at our Annual Convention, Intensive Update & Board Review, and OMED, in addition to online webinars.

The ACOFP online self-study online modules based on the Intensive Update & Board Review helps physicians and residents prepare for recertification or certification. It also offers In-Service Exams – 200 online practice questions – that physician can take as practice quizzes.

The ACOFP began the Explore More! campaign, an online resource providing osteopathic medical students with rationale and resources for selecting family medicine as their specialty.

The ACOFP also sponsors the Second Edition of Somatic Dysfunction in Osteopathic Family Medicine, which includes 10 new chapters and links to related OMT videos.

Residency Programs

The ACOFP approved 17 new osteopathic family medicine residencies with 264 new slots this year.

Patient Data Reporting

ACOFP’s new Quality Markers Program helps subscribers document the quality of their services and identify patient care opportunities covering 18 Wellness and Chronic Care Suites.
